Sundays

There’s something going on in St. Gabriel’s every day of the week, and all of that is connected to our faith in Jesus. However its on Sunday, the sabbath, that we pause for prayer and worship, coming together to sing songs, reflect, learn and support one another. We do this in different ways, but a typical Sunday would include

9am A Service of Holy Communion using traditional language (The Book of Common Prayer) in the chancel (front) of the church. Approx. twenty people currently attend this more reflective service which includes a sermon but does not have hymns and songs.

10.30am Morning Service which follows a pattern throughout the month including: Family Praise and Worship, Holy Communion (with Children’s Church) Parade Service (with Children’s Church) and Family Communion (children and young people together with adults throughout the service). On the fifth Sunday of the month we experiment with other styles of worship including cafe church, Taize, Songs and Hymns of Praise etc

12.15pm Pastoral Services often take place at this time including Holy Baptism, The Burial of Cremated Remains, Services of Marriage Vow Renewal/Blessing etc

6pm SPIRIT – for young adults to explore and deepen their faith in Jesus and have a great time doing it!
